Lonnie's Story
Hi and Greetings from Colorado!! After graduating from Hayes in 1976 I went to Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio and played football and basketball before transferring to Colorado State University (Rams) in Fort Collins, Colo. where I got my bachelors in Economics (Masters degree from University of Phoenix in 1998). My parents moved to Colorado while I was at B-W). My sister, Debbie, Hayes, 1975 lives here as well. After playing football and getting a degree in Economics I worked for Teledyne Water-Pik until 1987 when I began working for Anheuser-Busch. I married Roslyn in 1993 (at the ripe old age of 35). I have three wonderful step-children. Rachel is 22 and we are not sure what she is doing in life. Noah is a freshman at Washington State Univ. and Jordan is a 5'11" 17 year old Jr. on the HS basketball and Tennis teams(I coach her and the girls in summer team basketball camps/tourneys). Roslyn is an elementary school teacher here in our small town of Windsor, pop. 1200...Expand for more
(Windsor is 10 miles souteast of Fort Collins which is 60 miles north of Denver and 45 miles south of Cheyenne, Wyo). I am on the local school board (8+ years now). I stay active playing in a 30+ hardball/baseball league (I've been catching for 10 years). I also play in a basketball league and do a little volunteer coaching in rec leagues and at the high school. I am a HS basketball official. The family stays active by skiing (mostly snow and some water), and using our two wave runners at the nearby lake that Roslyn's parents live on. We also raise golden retreivers!!!! My passion as well. We have always followed the Cleveland Browns around the country.
The only person that I stay in contact with has been Jay Coffman. We have remained very close and visit and communicate to each other often. He lives in Powell with his wife Amilda. Well that's all for now. Take care!! Lonnie
