I am having a tough time of it in remembering anyone from my high school and I don't think anyone probably remembers me. When I graduated from high school my life followed a long journey down the highway of experiences. I married in 1960 and with that marriage, had two wonderful children: the first was a girl( she passed away at the age of 44 due to heart failure in Nov. 2007) and the second one a boy. My son now in his 40s and is a professional truck driver. I have three grandchildren from him. He is very devoting to his children and a wonderful son to me. I have not, unfortunately, seen any of them since 2001. They live all the way in Phoenix, Arizona and I leave out on a two acre lot in the country. I am now living with my third husband, who is a very dear and devoted sweetheart. We live in a partial mobile home and here and we love it here. We enjoy watching the wildlife visiting our yard, like rabbits, turtles, and one time three peafowls came to visit. Unfortunately they finally went home, but they were a joy to be with. hey would lay there a long time to listen and snooze. In the year 2001 I arrived here to be with my daughter awhile. We became such good friends after all of those years when she was so busy with her life and I with what I did, we never really knew each other. But I believe it was her time to go, because she suffered so much with her illnesses and pain. I know that someday in eternity we will see each other again. Before I came to Arkansas in 2001, I was a professional security officer. I was having so much difficulty with arthritis that I had to retire in 2001 when I was nearly 61 years old. I 've missed my job very much. But life goes on. My husband and I have a little rat terrier dog and we enjoy her company very much. Her antics keep us smiling most of the time. I live each day as it comes and try to make the most of what my husband and I have accomplished while living here. We have so much more to do and we are now almost 74 years old. We are thankful to be able to do what we do. Being old does not mean that the end of life is near, but the journey of life continues and if one chooses the right highway, life is richer and fuller and I love surprises. And it is like opening a new present everyday, not knowing what you will find , but what you do with what YOU find in life!
