Lora's Story
Life
I am currently living in Messel, Germany, a very small town just outside of Frankfurt. I am married and have a daughter Corinna (born Jan. 2001).
After Severna Park, I attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I graduated in 1984 with a BS in Computer Science. My first job was in Virginia Beach but after a year I moved to Northern Virginia. I worked until 1990 for a variety of defense contractors in the DC area. US Army defense contractors, mostly in the Heidelberg area. In 1996, I met Colin Stephan, my husband. He is German. (His mother is English thus the English name). In 1998, we got married. At that time, I gave up work as a US contractor and took a position with Oracle Deutschland as a consultant. I remained there until the birth of our daughter, Corinna, in January 2001. Since then I have been a stay-at-home mom, though I have begun a small business from home involving giving English lessons and proofreading English texts.
