Loran's Story

Updates below: In looking back the Sunnyside area was a good place to grow up (for me at least). There was a sense of community that helped promote dreams that come true. The things I have learned in life start first with family and friends in the Outlook and Sunnyside communities including the community support for education. Some things I have learned is forgiving one's self for things done at a young age since you cannot redo them, don't prejudge people since you rarely know the full story, goals made from a young age are very important, motivation is key to opening doors, and of course love of family and friends. Travel is so important to opening ourselves to other cultures and ways of life and in learning other stories. e FAA. I have been married since 1967 and have two sons that are also married. I retired from DoD with 24 years of service and spent the last 17 years at NASA. I am still enjoying life. Update 2010. Still working for the FAA but now as an Engineering Research Psychologist/Human Factors Specialist in transport airplane certification. On the other side we are enjoying grandkids, traveling, and visiting with people. I hope to have the motorcycle out for some long trips this summer if work doesn't get in the way. Update 2015. Retired from the FAA 5 months ago. Now have a consulting job with NASA for the next 18 Months via the San Jose State University Foundation as an Associate Senior Researcher. Really staring to enjoy private travel. Looking forward to visiting the family and old friends. Update 2016. Update in progress

Can hardly wait until we visit Mt Baker again. The parks around us were filled with families enjoying the sunshine. Flying kites seemed to be the big activity today on the Island.
A story about using Facebook marketplace. I received a camera from a facebook marketplace vendor. The Camera didn't work so I reported the problem to the vendor. I was told by the vendor that the money I paid for the cam
