Loren's Story
Daaammmmnnn!!! 39 years. As Jerry would say "what a long strange trip its been". I have made 100s of friends and suffered the loss of people I loved dearly. I Joined the Navy right out of high school served 4 years and got out bummed around for about 3 years, and then went back in the Navy for 2 years, and got out ..... Worked construction and bummed around for 3 years , got married and went back in the Navy.... served for 15 years and retired in 1997. Durring that time I have 2 beautiful kids (Stacy - 30 and Aaron- 26) one grandchild, Catarina Lauren Armstrong. My wife and I were together for 9 years, seperated for 8 years, divorced for 2 years and then remarried and have been together for 11 years so far. As you can tell .... I very seldom get it right the first time. I currently work for the US Government as GS 12, Program Analyst. I live in Portland, Texas. Both kids are married and living in Texas. is in Houston and Aaron is stationed at Ft. Bliss (US Army). Aaron returned from Iraq in April 2010 (2nd tour) and will probably go to Alfganistan in 2012. High school was a trip!!! I never took it very seriously, a got by on Cs & Ds but I graduated. I was always into good friends and good times. Anyone who was a friend then is still a friend ..... and if I every got on the wrong side of anyone ..... I applogize .... life is to short to have enemies. Wish you all a long and happy life filled with friends and laughter. My wife and i moved to san Diego, California (La Mesa) in Feb. of 09. We are currently enjoying a visit from our 1st Grandchild ... a Girl 10 months old (1st time to see her in person .... she is beautiful. Her name is Catarina Lauren Armstrong (check out the middle name, awesome or what) And my son Aaron returned fronm his second tour of Iraq Thursday (8 April) so 2010 has started just fine.
