Lori's Story
Life
I have lived in Maryland for almost 17 years now. I have a 16 year old son, Hunter, and three dogs. We enjoy traveling extensively. We're also both volunteers with our local rescue squad. Hunter is an EMT and I am an EMT and ambulance driver. The people at the squad are like family and we have a blast!
School
Attended A.P. Leto High School in Tampa, Florida. Graduated 1986.
College
I started taking classes part-time with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University while I was in the Army, and continued into my civilian life. Completed an A.S. in Professional Aeronautics, a B.S. in Management of Technical Operations, and have completed my coursework for an M.S. in Aeronautical Science.
Workplace

continued working in avionics, but also cross-trained as a helo mechanic. Later, I did some shipboard work for a short time and this led to some mechanical engineering work. I now work as a human factors engineer specializing in aircrew accommodation and design for maintainer.
Military
Attended Basic Training November/December 1986. Stationed at Fort Gordon, GA in much of 1987 for AIT (35K/68N Avionics Mechanic). Stationed at Fliegerhorst Kaserne, Hanau, Germany from 1987-1989. (Task Force Viper) Next, I moved on to Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA for a year before I ETS'd in July 1990. I was briefly recalled to service in early 1991 for Desert Storm and was stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska.
