Lori's Story
I just read my "profile" and discovered that, once again, it needed to be updated! I am now living in Bailey, Colorado, which is southwest of the city of Denver, up in the foothills (ie, lower mountains for you "city slickers") and have actually been in this state since 1984 (had been working for Pitney Bowes in Hutchinson, Kansas and took a transfer to Denver). After graduation I worked for awhile at the University of Chicago Hospitals & Clinics, met my future husband, moved to Kansas and raised two kids. Both are married now, living in Kansas, and my son just had his first child, my grand-daughter! roughout the years, my last full-time employment was with the marketing department of Colorado Special Olympics, where I raised money through corporate sponsorships. In 2000 I faced some medical issues with my back, had a couple of surgeries that really didn't improve my situation, and ended up taking early retirement. In 2006 I started an eBay business that fortunately has continued to grow (in spite of the economy) and have been enjoying doing "my own thing"! I occasionally travel back to Indiana where my remaining family still resides. It was just wonderful to have our 45th class reunion, and I know that we are all looking forward to our 50th now. I would love to hear from my old classmates! And hope that everyone is doing well and simply enjoying "life"!
