Lori's Story
After Graduation, I attended PJC and graduated from the Dental Assisting Program in 1981. I married in Feb 92 and Have a 24 year old son , Ryan. Divorced in 86. I met my Husband Jerry in 1987(in a bar) and we have been together since that night. We will celebrate 21 years on September 4/08. We will actually be married 16 years on Sept 4/08. We were married 5 years to the day we met. We have 3 beautiful chidren..Courtney/12..Torilee/10/Dylan/8. We still live in Pace, seems like we will never leave. About 3 years ago jerry was diagnosed with severe Kidney Disease and is currently awaiting a Kidney Transplant. We have been through rough times but we always manage to come out on top. know what's really a hoot?? It's when you go to meet your kid's teacher and it's someone you either went to school with or ones that were 4 & 5 years younger that you!! And I can say that my kids have had some great Ones. Rene (House)Benefield, Deanne (Cook) Cox.. That's just a few...Makes me feel older that 45.
Guess I'll be in Pace forever!!
Well, if I may, I gave Jerry a Kidney on July 10th. We were a perfect match. Isn't that amazing. Been together almost 22 years and find out you have been the one all along. Things were not always great. I am a Revovering Addict of 12 years and I will only be clean 2 years on October 23, 2009 . That's the Beauty of this whole thing!!
So far so good. He is doing fantastic. It's a wonderful thing to be able to give life and God has surely blessed me!!!
