Life My Spouse I was first introduced to my husband, Don, at my girlfriend's (Tina) house in the spring of 1979. Don was a friend of Tina's boyfriend (both men were in the Navy) and Tina was setting Don up on a blind date with her sister. A group of about 8 people all went bowling. The sister and Don didn't make a love connection but when Don and I accidently met at the Mariner's Club (In Bremerton) a couple of weeks later it was an instant connection that has kept our relationship fired up ever since! We were married in the spring of 1980. We lived a nomadic Navy life until Don's retirement from the service in 2003. He's currently employed with the Department of Defense. In 2005 we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Orlando Florida, where we spent our honeymoon oh, so long ago! My Pets My daughter found a cat in our neighborhood. No one claimed her so we took her in. It turned out some people down the street left her to roam while they were on vacation. The owners said we could keep her. She's beautiful, with gray, medium length hair and green eyes. She was one year old when we adopted her in 1996. She was already named Lucy so we kept that name. A few months after we got the cat my husband and son wanted a dog. We saw a photo in the paper for Pet of the Week at the animal shelter that fit our specifications. We had been there a couple of times already searching for the right dog for us. My husband specifically wanted a German Shepard or/mix, around one year old.
