Lori's Story
Life
I live in Manhattan, on the Upper West Side, with my husband Marc, and in a house in the Catskills. I am a social psychologist working in publishing, for Oxford University Press, and he is a clinical psychologist with a private practice. Three children (two daughters and one son) are grown and finished with college, and I have two grandsons and one granddaughter so far. Marc and I travel around the world quite a bit, at least two big trips a year, plus long weekends whenever possible. My life is better tha...Expand for more
n I ever even dreamed it could be, back in high school. I've kind of slipped over the rainbow. My favorite place on earth is Hanoi, followed by a tiny village in northern Laos called Nong Khiaw.
College
I started college when I was 36 as a single mother of three kids, finished when I was 40, and went immediately to graduate school. I earned my PhD in psychology when I was 45.
Workplace
I work for Oxford University Press as an acquisitions editor. That means I think of book ideas and find someone to write them.
