Lori's Story
Just another girl in school!
Arrived to Pueblo from beautiful northern California in July of 1973. What a shocker. Boy was I mad. Spent 3 years at South, escaping to Gunnison after graduation. While at South, I found my peeps on the track team. Loved to run, and loved my teammates. My best friend, Rita Gardner, has remained my soul sister to this day, even though she left this realm at the early age of 35, I know we will run and camp again in the beauty of eternity! I still visit the Gardner family cabin somewhere in the Thomasville area (top secret).
My other best memories of South happened in the art room, with the magnificent Mr.Bunch at the helm. What a wonderful teacher. He put the art professors at Western State to shame!
The 3 years at South we're just fine, as high school goes.
Graduated from Western with a degree in physical education and art, with a secondary teaching certificate. Married and moved to Gypsum, Co. Taught for 15 years, raised 3 daughters, and lived the g...Expand for more
ood life. Changed gears in 95, moved 7 miles east to Eagle, got a job with the local utility as a meter reader. Twenty years later...and countless pairs of boots, technology is booting me! Facing a big life change, and kinda excited to see what that looks like. The possibilities are as vast as my imagination! Life is fabulous!
Been living like a nun for about 6 years, no problem with that AT ALL! The kids are grown and well, and I have an adorable grandson!
Love to spend time in the back country. Just hiked Notch mountain a few weeks ago with two of my daughters, the view of Mount of the Holy Cross was over the top!
I spend a lot of time on the road, the drive queen indeed. Love going to San Diego to see two of my native Colorado escapees. My sweet grandson is a California native just like his granny. Say what you want about Californians....but anyone with any sense knows California has it all!
That's about enough out of me.
Final thought, my alter ego is a member of Greenpeace!!!!!!
