Lori's Story
I love living in Colorado. Grand Junction is a high altitude desert (like Sedona) with the Colorado National Monument just 15 minutes from my home. It is nationally known for hiking and mountian biking. On the other side of the valley is the largest flat topped mountian in the world and is home to 1,000+ alpine lakes and a ski resort. A third direction will take you to a modest water skiing lake. GJ must be one of the few places in the US where you can water ski, snow ski, and rock climb all in one day.
I do not, if anyone remembers me, do any of those...just appreciate the glory of my little part of the world. I enjoy my family, try to do some volunteering for local non-profits, garden, create, cook...all of the same nerdy things I did as a kid. Professionally, I own a real estate office called Graystone Group. So anyone moving to Jct can call me! You can be contact me directly th...Expand for more
rough Facebook under Lori Peterson Wood. I would love to catch up on life with you.
After gradutation from CHS, in 1976, I married Louie Estrella (class of 73) and had our son, Matthew. Louie died in 1983. I have since moved to Grand Junction, CO where I attended Mesa State College majoring in Art Administration. I never used the degree, but enjoyed the education.
My husband, Robert & I have been married for 25 years. We have son together, Alexander, who loves his music & studying aerospace engineering at CU-Boulder. Matthew graduated from ASU, majoring in Political Sci. He is currently a 1st Lt. in the Marines. Maybe someday Matt will turn to AZ politics (Mom's dream). Anyone that remembers Louie, will get a kick out of knowing that his son works in juvenille corrections when he is not on military duty.
I enjoyed our 10 & 20 reunions and wished there would have been a 25 or 30th.
