I love living in Colorado. Grand Junction is a high altitude desert (like Sedona) with the Colorado National Monument just 15 minutes from my home. It is nationally known for hiking and mountian biking. On the other side of the valley is the largest flat topped mountian in the world and is home to 1,000+ alpine lakes and a ski resort. A third direction will take you to a modest water skiing lake. GJ must be one of the few places in the US where you can water ski, snow ski, and rock climb all in one day. I do not, if anyone remembers me, do any of those...just appreciate the glory of my little part of the world. I enjoy my family, try to do some volunteering for local non-profits, garden, create, cook...all of the same nerdy things I did as a kid.
