Lorie's Story

I am going to give the short version of my story, and let's just say it is a roller coaster ride I won't soon forget... and yet I would not change it for the world. I was married for 24 years, have 5 kids... 2 boys and 3 girls ( all of which are thankfully grown), and have been divorced for 3 years now. I was an active heroin addict for 23 years and have been clean for 3 years. Think I finally got it right. I have been attend...Expand for more
ing Kaplan University online since April 2008, and should have my Associate Degree sometime in March 2010. I have been living with a wonderful man for the last 2 years and we are planning to marry after I graduate college. My youngest son lives with me, and attends Kaplan locally in Bakersfield. He will be here till after he graduates and finds work, then he will save for his own place. It will be nice to have our privacy again.
