Lorie's Story
Life
After Walnut, I've had some fun career-wise... I got into voiceover about 10 years ago when I was doing casting for radio& tv commercials. Also managed a small recording (music) studio for 2 years. Not working full time now, and really enjoy it! Married to a great guy for 13 years. I performed at a few showcases in Vegas at the Sun Coast hotel and continue to try and get some acting work as long as it remains fun. All in all... things are great.
School
I loved high school. I remember laughing my way through it and having so much fun. I was in cheerleading for 2 years, and the last year a songleader. I loved having an audience every week. I remember when our basketball team almost went all the way to CIF champs. It was insanely fun. If I ...Expand for more
could do it all over again, I'd like to have told off Miss Mallozzi, and dated someone I never knew noticed me!
Workplace
The first 10 years were spent at Sears. Worked in various departments, then had a chance to go to Hollywood and work in TV. Worked at KTTV,(in the mailroom) KCET, Merv Griffin, a PR agency in Beverly Hills, and a production company that does radio & tv commercials. I was a casting director, produced, directed, performed as talent, and generally anything that needed to be done, including making coffee and cleaning toilets. Lastly, I managed a music studio where I got to meet people like The Rolling Stones, John Denver and everyone in between. Finally quit the day job, and I don't miss the daily grind, but I still love to perform.
