Lorie's Story
we all have our stories.. but I did get married and have 2 beautiful children. Divorced 3 years later...moved to Phoenix.
I graduated art school in Tempe. I then moved to Michigan for a job working with screenprinting art for Disney, Warner Bros., and other cartoon companies, doing kids wearables. Don't go wow it wasn't all that glam I did screenprint seperations and some art for these companies. Not a lot of artist talent needed. But it sounded good as you were reading it. hehe
The company then sold to Vanity Fair so I was offered a job to digitize embroidery work. Our company is throughout the U.S. We do Resortwear through College Sportswear. I worked there 11 years out of 13 years running.
I have, in the last year, purchased my own embroidery company and do what I love to do, create. I keep really busy being the owner/operator and I mean operator. I do it all. Theref...Expand for more
ore my job consumes alot of my time for now.
I just became a grandma for the second time. The photo is granddaughter (3) daughter (24) and me! Now I have a growing grandson, born in March (I can't put months down cuz who know when this will be looked at...could be years down road and still say 2 months old). This is the best of all!!!! I love it. "If I knew grandchildren were so much fun I would of had them first." This is so true.
2 years ago I have reunited with an Antioch beau.
Tim recently took me through Lake Villa on a visit and the big white house on the hill (old folks home) and is still kicking out the parties.
The home looks same but the parks? Cedar and Sherwood, what happened?
Those were the days. Beach, friends, summertime and a job.
I am also on facebook.
So as for now off to work. If anyone needs custom embroidery I'm the one!
