Life My husband Tim, and I will celebrate our 28th anniversary on New Years Eve. Our daughter is 24 and has a biology degree from WSU. She went back to school and now has a degree as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. (Yes, we know just a bit creepy!) After Tim's Mom passed away (she lived with us for 15 yrs) and Robin went to college we sold our HUGE house and downsized into a much smaller manufactured home. Fewer bathrooms to clean, less lawn to mow and more time for ORCAS ISLAND. Last summer we had a new well dug and a septic tank re-installed (necessary stuff). Not sure what project we will accomplish this summer. We plan on retiring when I turn 55 (only a few more years - waa hoo!) Still working at Boeing and just finished my 30th year. Have avoided any layoffs which I think is a pretty major accomplishment. I work in the Information Technology organization and I get to work with some pretty amazing people. Commute is not too bad - Auburn to Renton, work at home on Wednesdays and I get every-other Friday off. Of course every couple of months I have to go to work at 3:00 am on a Sunday but there are always trade-off's! We finally adjusted to our empty nest and then she returned home to go back ...Expand for more
