Lorna Auerbach:  

Life While attending the University of Denver. I majored in Poli. Sci. and International Relations. I skiied daily, was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and spent my Junior Year Abroad at the University of Copenhagen. Upon graduation I went to Israel where I spent a year as a volunteer teacher in a development town for Moroccan and Tunisian immigrant children. The next year I obtained my high school teaching credential from UCLA. I taught at Roosevelt High School in Boyle Heights (East LA)and attended Pepperdine University, earning an M.A. in Multi-Cultural Education, and additional credentials, both Bilingual and Administrative. I taught in the Gifted Program where I taught English and created a special class, part of a nationwide program, Model United Nations. I raised corp. grant money from ARCO, LA Times, and others and traveled with my students to national conferences at Harvard and at the UN.
