WOULD LOVE TO SEE LOTS OF PEOPLE AT OUR REUNION IN SEPTEMBER !!
Life
I currently live in Corrales, New Mexico with my husband of 20 years Elliott; and a mini doxie named Rosie. We live in an adobe house on an acre of land in the Rio Grande Valley. Corrales is a small town that reminds me of St. James. If the Long Island Sound were a mile away, it would be heaven.
I am a packaging consultant for the last 30 +years. I work with wholesale and retail accounts to create custom printed point of purchase and retail packaging. It's always interesting working with the creative minds behind products and programs.
My husband works in both New Mexico and Florida. Elliott is a master craftsman and makes his living installing commercial wallcovering. We did not have children but enjoy time with neices and nephews and even their children. I belong to the local Kiwanis Club where raising money and participating in programs to help children is the prime focus. I just turned 54 yesterday and I feel 30. .......update again. I'll be 55 this summer and I guess I'm looking forward to taking advantage of discounts. I actually broke down and joined the AARP. yikes.
I've edited since August...now 57+ and all is well.
The only part a...Expand for more
bout getting older that I don't like is losing the freinds and family you love as they age and pass on.
Aug. 2007
This summer we have a trip planned to Wisconsin to visit my family; some of you may remember Julie and Joe Persico, my neice and nephew. Joe Persico lives in Wisconsin with his wife Peggy. They had 3 boys, all college age and older now. My brother will be 86 in August so we're going to visit so we can all be together. UPdate....my amazing brother passed away on Dec. 27, 2008. In April his grandson Nick and his wife had a baby boy so the Persico's live on.
Having been active in school projects and planning, I love to hear what people are up to these days and will probably join this crazy site to be able to be better in touch. So silly to see how this site has determined that my interests are sleeping, comedies and cats. I just got dog; a mini doxie and she's a blast.
My interests really are in people, art and nature. I am an avid gardener and I'm looking forward as always to ski season!
As a Kiwanis member I started a program in our local elementary school called Study Buddy which currently has
about 25 community members tutoring 30 children on a weekly basis helping them to improve their reading skills.
