Lorraine's Story
Lorraine is from Glen Head, New York. Lorraine's schools include Holy Trinity High School. since I left Holy Trinity I have had 5 boys!!! I have continued my education at Nassau Community College, Stony Brook and Mercy College. I have become a Physician Assistant. I work in a level 1 trauma emergency department in Elmhurst Queens which I love. You never know what is right around the corner. I have also become a program director of Mercy College Graduate Program in Physician Assistant Studies which I love as well. I get to practice medicine and now teach the younger, thirsty minds about my areas of medicine. My absolute passion (besides my boys) is international medicine. I have traveled the world setting up makeshift clinics and providing medical care to people mostly of third world countries. ut it off at the beginning we can cut down on the amount of ill and dying in other countries. The continent that just keeps pulling me back in is Africa. I have a very strong affinity to many countries in Africa and love to serve the communities.
I have so many fond memories of Trinity. So many that I never realized I had until after I left. As Billy Joes so nicely sings " I remember those nights hanging out at the village greens" for sure..., the strike in Freshman year, sitting for Christmas mass, going to junior parties as a freshman or sophomore, waiting for the seniors to leave so that as juniors we could go outside, driving to school, walking past Fr. John's office in jeans and hoping he wouldn't notice, laughing in the cafeteria, wondering who's house we would sleep over the next weekend, octoberfest. fun times, fun people, hanging out by the outside stairwells, the bus ride to school every morning.
