Lorraine's Story
I gradualted High School on 1979, from Rahway High. Went to School in Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing out of Raritan Bay hospital, which was Perth Amboy Hospital then. I think this year is the last year the school is open. Went on to Kean University where I got my BSN. I have worked most of my nursing years in Critical Care settings and the ER. I was the manager of the ER at Rahway for about 11 years. Left management for many reasons and now I work in a LTAC called Kindred Hospital. Not crazy about this kind of nursing, as ER is my favorite, but it is close to home and it pays well.
I have 3 children, Matt is 26 is engaged and lives in Brick, he is also a nursed. Jessica and Joe still live home with me. Jess is 24 and almost done with her schooling to be a teacher, she goes...Expand for more
to Kean. Joe is 16, learning to drive (ahh) and a great kid. I am proud of all of my children they have all grown up to be wonderful teens and young adults.
I think you can't ask for much more then a happy family, and some peace. I have both at this time in my life.
As I get older I can look back on mistakes I made in life, but the best thing is to learn something from them. This way you have no regrets.
I love creative things, writing, reading, and in general the simple things in life. If I had one dream it would be to live on a farm and have an outreach to either needy kids families or sick kids.
I have run into alot of my classmates on facebook. Hope to hear from all of my past friends and aquaintances it is cool to see where we all have gone or done since those old days.
