In 1968 we had our first child, Clay Bob Hooten. It was then that we decided to move to Sheridan, Arkansas. In 1972 we had our second child, a daughter, Shannon Lee Hooten. d. I continued teaching till 2001 and then retired after teaching 15 years. I now live in Russellville, AR. We have a houseboat and travel the rivers in the south such as the Arkansas, Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, and the Cumberland. We also have a house in Cloudcroft, New Mexico where we spend our summers. I have 6 grandchildren, 5 girls and 1 boy. My first grandchild graduated from high school and is attending college at Arkansas Tech at Russellville, AR. The best thing that happened to me was accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was 22 years of age. My husband is also a Christian as well as my children and grandchildren. God has been good to me and my family and I will always thank Him for giving up His only Son so that I could have Eternal Life.
