College
After graduation in '71, I headed north to Alaska. I attended the University of Alaska in Fairbanks till February 1974 and majored in Northern Studies (literature, art, history and anthropology of northern peoples). It was a wonderful adventure. in... yep, it really does exist!!! So I came down to the central coast for a lil vacation, during which I toured the Graphic Communications Deptartment at Cal Poly SLO. I was hooked!!! I never went back to Alaska. I enrolled for the following summer in the Graphic Design option just to check things out... four years later I graduated.
