Lorraine's Story
Life
At age 34, I find myself single for the first time in my adult life. It is quite a change. I am better off for many reasons, but find myself unsure of how to continue. It is strange coming home to an empty house. I have two cats who keep me company. They are good at filling the void.
I recently moved to Quechee, VT, and bought a condo. It is nice living in a low maintenance environment for once in my life. I have alot of time on my hands, with not having to do home/property maintenance.
I enjoy being close to the Upper Valley. I wish it had more to offer. It is not a real happening place. I am getting by.

nd enriched my life simce becoming single. I realized there is a whole big world out there. I am ready to conquer it.
Workplace
I have worked at DHMC since I graduated from college. I hope to work here until I retire. It is a great place to be. They allow for much versatility. The job possibilities as an RN are endless.
I work a mix of day and night shifts, twelve hours. The days can be long, but where else can you get four days off a week, and still support yourself comfortably? Need I say more.
I am currently contemplating going back to school to pursue studies for a Nurse Practitioner. I will take a class this fall, probably at the University Of Vermont, and see what I think.
