Lorrie's Story
Life
My husband, Tony and I have been married for 14 years, I have two children: my daughter, Sarah, is 28 and my son, Jake, is 13. I've been living in Southwest Florida since January of 1975. I've been home to Colonia in 1975, 1979, 1988 and again in August, of 2000. I miss Colonia a great deal. That was my first "home" and alot of my "fondest" memories were created there. I feel, living in the South is the greatest and has provided me with a quality of life I couldn't of achieved in the "north". I also feel that due to the steep traditions of the southern culture/heritage, my life has been truly enriched. We live a much slower lifestyle here. I still work full time....right now I manage a restuarant on the beautiful island of Boca Grande (which, is known as the..."tarpon capital" of the world), in my spare time I like to crochet, sew, garden, bike ride with my son, do craft...Expand for more
s of all sorts, and attend any craft fair I can find. My family and I do alot of camping, fossil hunting on the Peace River, fresh/salt water fishing and boating. We go to the beach all the time. We love spending time with our family, our grandchildren and friends. I would love to make contact with my high school friends and catch up on "our lives".....or for that matter.....yall' come on down to sunny Florida for some really good ole' southern-style home cookin', some "boat drinks", alittle bit of music....perhaps some Buffet, while we relax under the calming shade of the tall palms....as the soft, tropical breezes caress us. We'll extend some good ole' southern hospitality while we do some "catchin' up" by the waters edge of the Gulf of Mexico........I miss all of my girlfriends from high school and wish we lived closer to one another so that we could still "share our lives".
