Life
These bios are kinda weird, but. . . I haven't self-combusted or turned boring and old yet. The condensed version is: After high school I went to SWTSU where I majored in Journalism. I worked at and eventually managed a crappy bookstore there in San Marcos and briefly did a radio show on a pirate station outta SM, which was A LOT of fun. I met my husband Kyle at SWTSU in 1991. We lived in Austin for a bit. In 1999 we got married and in 2000 we moved to Portland, OR. I am currently pursuing my MA in publishing at Portland State University with Ooli...Expand for more
gan Press. Kyle left the BBQ bidness behind and now works for the Red Cross. We have a fun old house close to the river which we share w/ a pissy polydactyl cat named Wampus, a drooly Lab named Tuco and a goofy Corgi/Bulldog mix named Trudy. No kids, although we are partial to the evil seeds of friends. Portland (from whence we have Beverly Cleary, James Beard, Gus Van Sant, Elliot Smith, an all-girl AC/DC cover band Helles Belles, and an all-boy Go-GoÂs cover band We Got The Meat) is fantastic and we have tons of friends here, including many from Texas.
