Lou's Story
Quick History
I entered St Marks kindergarden soon after being adopted from an orphanage. I caught up to the other markers after a few grades and a lot of help. Mnay thanks to St Marks staff.
Made the St. Thomas Academy entrance test. Attended STMA from '49' to graduation in '52'.
Briefly attended college then due to death of mother and illness of father entered the US Army..."53-56'. Marine Air for flight training...finished props...stopped to go to college.
Attended U MN TC (CLA) on GI Bill...Expand for more
- graduated in '61' and entered Public Affairs Masters. Worked full time through all college and grad school.
First marriage: 20 years and three wonderful children (now adults)..
Divorced and entered second marriage...now at 20 year mark. Acted as step-father for two wonderful children now both adults.
Retired from U of MN over 25 years...Worked with The Graduate School of America (now known as Capella University) establish accreditation and online education programs for working adults.
