Louie's Story

Life Hi old classmates. I've dawdled around writing this part for weeks but went to Indpls last weekend and thought it was finally time. I won't even think of boring anyone with degrees, jobs etc. I can remember a time when I wondered whether I could do without some of you and NCHS. Also remember making a lot of errors of omission and many of comission too. I've tried to alter the balance over the years, but no nearer a perfect life than in '69. Recall many years when my life was so divorced from HS that I thought only of a few people. But, I've made it reasonably well, feel pretty good and after all, am alive, and can still think to some degree. Just retired from one job after 25--didn't want to die at my desk....Expand for more
.So, have the opportunity to devise something new. Looking forward to that. I have daughters who are in HS and attended open house last night, which reminded me how fortunate I am not to have to take some of their courses. But, their school and ours did have some similarities: some of the same groups of kids; the odd and human teachers; pompous bureaucrats; the big events etc. I don't know if anyone will actually read this but it has done me good to write it. Still miss a lot of you and wish I had known some of my classmates that I never even met. Would love to hear from any of you guys. Now I need to get off this screen without taking out a mortgage, volunteering for the army or getting a blind date. Bye, Louie
