The only one who could hit the softball over the fence behind the PS 34 School yard from Wade Street to Warner Avenue. You will attest to that Vincent Gulotta.
Silent and mysterious.

Drag racing my 54 Chevy with any one any where.
Playing pool (billiards) in the pool hall on Jackson Avenue.
Setting up pins in the bowling alley on Jackson Ave.
Being an Usher in the Fulton Theatre and sneaking the guys in through the side door alley entance.
Achieved my goal of graduating from St Peter's College and becoming an Officer and a Gentleman for 4 + years in the United States Navy.
Buying loosies in the candy store (cigarettes at 3 for a nickel)..LOL

Riding the Bergen Avenue Bus when I was too lazy to walk to school. Only cost 5 cents.

Going to the Roosevelt Drive In Theatre on the back highway.
Watching the Submarine races behind Bayonne Park on 16th Street by the Hackensack River.
Sitting on the bench in front of PS 34 with the guys and NEVER seeing a Foreign car go by. WWOOWW
The songs of the 50's and 60's still bring tears to my eyes.
