Louis's Story
In 1983, I changed my last name "Finkel" to my mother's maiden name, "Wasser," when I began writing freelance articles for "The Washington Post."
When I went to Ovebrook, I lived on Jefferson Street in West Philly (...Expand for more
below Wynnefield), and walked the mile every day to school via Upland Way, except in my last year. In that year, I lived in Logan, (now a landfill), and my neighbor, OHS physics teacher Fred Hofkin drove me to school.
