School
My favorite Norman memory is Rat Week, especially Rat Day when we sat on floor/ate peas w/a knife, etc. Then there was Rat Court and the judge sentenced Mae to have an egg shampoo...the bailiff proceeded to crack eggs o...Expand for more
n her upswept, heavily teased and hair sprayed coif. Working on yearbook was another good memory; as well as Mr. Schroeder's classes and Ms. Mashburn...and then there was Ms. Knowles' class...tough but I learned a lot. It was Mr. Voyles though who gave me direction in life to become a teacher of English.
College
It took 3 different college "tours" for me to finish my education at Georgia Southern. First degree: BS in English Education; 2nd degree Master's in Library/Media Education and add on of Master's in English Ed. 3rd degree was Ed.Sp. in Media Education and another add on of Ed. Sp. in English Ed. Finally, by the time I retired from public school, I had all the college I needed!
