Louise's Story
Life
I remained in the area except for a year stay in West Virginia, Ohio, and Michigan.
I have 2 daughters and 2 sons. I have 6 grqndkids and 2 great grandkids and I have no idea how many step grandkids:-) I have 3 step sons and 1 step daughter from my late husband and 1 step son from my present husband. I lost a son born in 1963. One daughter lives in Orange, the other lives in Washington state, and my son, whom I have had since he was 14 months old, lives with us. I have 4 grandsons and 2 grand princesses. The oldest born in 1984 the youngest born in 2001. I became a GREAT GRANDMA in October 2010 to a boy:-). My oldest grandson, Chris, is the daddy:-) I have a terrific guy...we just got married in Feb. 2007 after a 25 yr. separation and back together in November 1999.
I enjoy the all class reunions and looking forward to seeing everyone in Sept. Would love hearing from you also. All Class meets every Sept. on the 4th Saturday now at Orange High. Usually from 10 to 4 Come join us!!!
We have been on 2 cruises with our class. The first was the 4 day Encenada cruise and the 2nd was Alaska. LOVED that and want to go at least 4 more times:-). And a 15 day Hawaiian cruise. Did a 14 day back to Alaska. 2017 we are going to Alaska again:-)
School
I will NEVER tell who I had the biggest crush on and he never knew. Although we dated in my freshman year, actually went steady for about 6 months. Carried that crush for YEARS:-)
My teacher that inspired me the most was my art teacher. I have gone far in the art world because of what I was taught in art class.
If I could do High School over again.......Expand for more
.I would stay away from the bad boys I found exciting and I would have studied more and tried harder. I loved my friends and missed them so much when I left school to marry Chuck Ehlers. October 5th, 1963. Chuck died in 1974.
And YES! Doug, class of 59, Bill, class of 64, Brian, class of 68 and Clark class of 69 or 70 all are my brothers.
College
I went to Orange Coast College for 2 years then years. Later I went to Riverside Community College and studied Business and Criminal Law as well as Business Administration. I truly enjoyed that. I also went onto take some art classes and I sold some of my art.
Workplace
My first job was at Fikes Burgers, downtown Orange. I worked also in the office of Orana Poultry Co. and in the office of the Villa Fontana Restaurant, on Main St. That was fun but not what I wanted to do the rest of my life. I went into the foster care business for the handicapped children for 12 years and shared a business with my cousin in the art business for 10 years as well and at the same time as the foster care business.
I do a ton of volunteer work and enjoy it all. We volunteer more now and are busier than when we were working.
Beside our children we have 6 house cats, Tami, our tabby and Austin our husky masculine cat, Midnight who was born under our house and brought into the house at 4 months. Then there is Buttons who we have had since she was 2 weeks old and the twins, Anna and Bella. So we are called the CAT people:-) And one inside/outside cat names Charlie.
I hope my old friends remember me as a fun and happy person.
