Lucille's Story
When I looked at my old high school memory book I said that my goal was to work in government. As it turned out, I did spend my career in government and had many great experiences, made many new friends and I hope I have made a significant difference in people's lives.
I've worked as a public guardian for 3 county governments, Orange County, Riverside and now Los Angeles. I was the department head in Riverside where I achieved my most accomplishments, improving performance and recovering assets and protecting lives for people placed under my care. islation which is still on the books, won awards and held many positions in the state-wide California Public Administrators/Public Guardian Association including president eventually earning awards for my contributions and life-long membership. Now I'm second in charge in Los Angeles Public Guardian overseeing mental health care for 2,200 people.
I'm still married to my husband of 32 years, Larry, and I have two grown children, Stephen and Taryn. Stephen is now an electrical engineer and Taryn is still a college student. It would be great hearing from my classmates.
