Life
2007: I'm living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I am a volunteer with a few organizations: Siouxland Rennaisance (Renn Fests), Sioux Empire Community Theatre, Girl Scout Brownie Leader, and Pianist for Job's Daughters. (3 Bethels here in Sioux Falls) You'd think it would keep me out of trouble, but it just creates more opportunity. I am single, and have been since 1981. I have a grand daughter that I adore, and live with her and my son here in Sioux Falls since April 2006. Sure, its -9 degrees, ... but... Thank goodness I dont work outside! I'm looking forward to returning to Europe to visit friends there. I took French at Fullerton College, and my high school Spanish still works in Spain! YAY! I love to travel and have been to Korea, Japan, Taiwan, France, Germany and Spain. I would love to go to I...Expand for more
taly, and my German friend has asked me to accompany her to Greece where her in-laws live. Life is fun. At least I'm enjoying it.
School
There was so much opportunity in High School I didnt take advantage of. (Like English classes!) I was looking forward to getting out of school, getting married, and living happily ever after. Boy, what a pipe dream! I should have been planning for college, but I waited until after I was divorced with 2 young kids in 1981 to attend college. Probably a good thing, since I was more focused. It's weird having an 18 year old cheat off your papers!! I didnt get a degree, but took classes I enjoyed: French, History, computer classes, mechanical and electrical drafting, community band, volleyball... etc.
If I had to do over again... I'd go to college and not get married so soon.
