Lucinde Saunders-McAfee:  

My name was Lucinde Saunders when I attended Asbury Park High School. I have a twin sister named Lucille. I married a wonderful man named David McAfee, who was the son of Mrs. McAfee, the kindergarten teacher at Bangs Ave Grammar School. He was my best friend, lover, boyfriend, husband and my soulmate. He passed away Nov 2000 from kidney and congestive heart failure and was on dialysis waiting for a kidney transplant that never came. He was only 45 years old when he died. I miss him very much. We did not have any children. My father-in-law also died the same year my husband died, 2000. He died in Apr, my beloved David, in Nov. My mother passed away Oct 2004. When I graduated from APHS, I really didn't feel like going to 4 more years of school nor could I afford it, so I didn't go to college. My sister and I both attended Stuart School of Business Administration. It used to be located on Grand Avenue in Asbury Park in the tall JCP&L Bldg across from NJBell Telephone. It was down the street from the Salvation Army.
