Lucious's Story

I served in the Navy SeaBees and after undergoing a few knee surgeries from injuries I had sustained, settled in and around Boston Massachusetts, married, earned a Bachelor Degree, had a son and went to work for a couple of world reknowned Mechanical Contractors as an Estimator/Project Engineer. I eventually tried it on my own and established L. Addison and Associates, Inc. which became a successful multi-million dollar enterprise and had a stint of over 25 years until a couple of major (frivolous) law suits brought it to its knees. I won the law suits and the counter suits but the subcontractors who brought the law suits conveniently filed bankruptcy. This meant that the remuneration aspects of the counter suits were null and void. The capital to hire high powered consultants and attorneys to defend the corporation came directly from the top. Today, I have no faith in or respect for the ju...Expand for more
dicial system. In the mean time, my first marriage did not work out. I remarried, had three children, Lusharra, Lucious, and Langston, 16, 12, and 8 respectivly. (Not bad for an old man huh?) I recently decided to undergo some long overdue physical and mental rehabilitation. I received a new knee, that was suggested to me for years, and just plain relaxed. I am having more fun with my children than I thought was possible. However, I still have a lot of nervous energy and must do something constructive. Making a lot of money is not an issue and I don't need the stress and strain of my former occupation. I think I would like to do something for society, ie. children ect. I am sure that many of us are in this same category. I think it would be fun receiving suggestions from my classmates. Maybe this would be a beneficial forum for many of us. Sincerely, Lucious
