Lucy's Story
Life
I moved to Indiana with my husband and two kids in 1997. It was a shock to the system leaving the evergreen state behind, but after two months and 60 lbs. I snapped out of it. I began working as a Food Service Manger for a middle school in the state's largest school district, and 8 years later, I'm happy and have eveything I ever wanted!
My daughter is turning 16. I get to teach her how to drive! Those of you that remember my Torino, are probably pretty happy that I'm not in Washington! Those were the days!
My son is 12 and will be starting middle school in the fall. This is a big deal because he hates school as much as his dad did. So it's a challege everyday to get him up and going. I think he will like the middle school better because it will keep his mind busy. He loves math, and I know that algebra will peak his interest.
Anyway, I have been married for almost 19 years to one heck of a great guy. He is my everything! I couldn't imagine life without ...Expand for more
him. We have been through a lot together. Not all of it was good stuff, but we survived it all. And we are better people for it.
So now, I am happy with where I am. We are doing fine. With all I left behind in Olympia there's only a handful of people I really miss. My best friend Tammy, but we talk at least once a month and I even got to see her last summer when I went home for my nephew's graduation. I didn't get to look anyone else up because I was only there for 2 days. Quick trip I know, but I had to get back to work. During the summer when school is out I work at a summer camp for the inner city kids. I am the Kitchen manager and I love it.
I also miss Andrew, Parnell, and Billy.
I haven't made many friends out here. Just co-workers. But that is at work. I have a hard time trusting people. But that's another story.
Well I think I have gone on long enough.
If you remember me and you want to get in touch, do so. I love getting e-mail. Have a great day!
