Luis's Story

I graduated from Bronx Vocational High School, now called Alfred E. Smith on June 27, 1966. Back in 1962 when I started at the school, I took up Machine shop, sheet metal shop and automotive shop. Thanks to the training I received at the school I worked as a auto mechanic for 30 years. Working for General Motors and Goodyear. Now I'm 60 years young, retired, had six kids...Expand for more
, 10 grand-kids and 1 great-grand daughter. I had a great time at school, good teachers, people that I will never forget. My shop teacher Mr. Miccio was the greatest. I thank God that I attended this school. Many of my classmates went to VietNam and never came back, how sad. I say to all that read this short story, stay in school and get an education.
