Luis's Story
Long story, short. After SS, spent a long summer & fall wondering what to do. Enrolled at UTSA and was fortunate to have great mentors. Ran into several South San folks there (Daniel Potter, Gilbert Salazar, Nora Martinez, Betty Heffner). Even ran into Mr Sheffler. Finished UTSA and got accepted to UTMB and spent 4 of the best years of my life there--including meeting my wife, Liz. T Houston). Went to Texas Tech in Lubbock for training and got to love West Texas. Moved to Jax, Florida with Liz so she could complete her training. We both missed Tx, so came back to North Texas where we have been for 19 years. Two girls, our oldest graduating high school (2010) with the other 1 year behind. Taught for 16 years and left that behind in 2007 and on my own now and really enjoying it. My family all still down in south SA and we go down several times a year.
