Collette's Story

Life Hi Everyone. I hope this has spell check, cause...You know what High School I went to. LOL Well, Not much has changed with me. I am married to Steve King. We have been married for almost 27 years. We still live in 29 Palms. We have 4 children. Paul, our oldest and is an army medic and right in the middle of the fight in Iraq. He is a hard worker and strives to save Iraqi lives as well as soldies. He has a Purple Heart and just last month received a medal for "medical assistance to injured soldies while under enemy fire." He came home for Christmas and I had not slept so well in 6 months. (Except for the 2 seperate days he got tickets for driving at 115 mph.) Where are you Rick Chriton when I need you. LOL Paul is 24. Carly is 23 and has been married to a wonderful guy for 4 years. They have a beautiful son that is 2 years old today, which makes Steve and I Grandparents. We love it. We met them at Disneyland last weekend and had a blast. Although, Monday Steve and I could hardly roll out of bed to get to work. Kiel is 19, and I am sure you all remember i am a Mormon and so Kiel is waiting to find out where he will go on his Mission. We are excited for him to start his adventure. Then he will be back for college in 2 years. Paul went to Veracruse, Mexico. So Kiel want to go out of the country too. I will keep anyone updated on where he goes if your interested. We now are looking at just the baby at home. YEAHOO!!! I must say that craft room ...Expand for more
is getting closer and Steve is looking forward to having an office that is not filled with drums and amps, guitars and paintball equiptment everywhere. Yes, our baby-Vincent is a musician. he carries a guitar everywhere he goes. Vincent is 16 and gets his licence on the 16th of march (heaven help me) We are working hard at our respective jobs. Steve is the Meat Manager at Vons Groceries in Yucca Valley, and I just started my new career with the MUSD as a school Nurse. It is wonderful. I love working with the kids and see alot of the local parents and teachers often. So, that is all the King stuff in a nutshell. I left out all the crap. We have had our share of struggles and heartbreaks. But, I really can't complain. Paul is alive in Iraq and everyone is healthy. We are starting to think more and more about retirement. I figure I have put in 7 months on this job, only 9 and 1/2 years to go. We are working hard and looking foward to the 30 year reunion! We plan on getting in shape and having alot of fun with everyone. If anyone reads this, start spreading the word for 2007. Whatever we do, lets have a fun time. I will stay with classmates.com and keep everyone up to date. Start looking for our friends and pass addresses along to me or Lisa Limon. Well, I hope to put pictures in by tomorrow. I have to make the boys do it. Take care my friends. We will be getting old fast. We need to have some more fun while we can. Love, Collette Luke Class of "77"
