I am still married to the same Marine I married at 17 yrs of age---41 years of marital bliss now. We moved to Texas in 1975 where I raised 4 kids (2 girls and 2 boys) who have given us soon to be six grandchildren who give us lots of joy. I have been a Realtor for 30 years and own my own agency called Cornerstone Real Estate in Bay City, Texas (population 18,000); I have 8 sales associates . We are about 65 miles southwest of Houston toward the Gulf Coast. I also hold a Sales license in California. I went to CA, got my license, in July 2005 to Mar 2007 temporarily to help my brother with our real estate investments around Desert Hot Springs and 29 Palms. I bought a house in 29 Palms where I lived until I went back home after the market took a downturn (besides, I missed my family). I'm renting that house now until the market reverses---hopefully soon. After coming back to Texas, a revelation came to me to open up my own office---although, sometimes I wonder---but, nonethesless, I obeyed the revelation. Hence, my company is called Cornerstone Real Estate in obedience to our Lord's calling. My husband and I live on the Colorado River in Selkirk Island where we enjoy fishing, boating, and entertaining family and friends on our deck overlooking the river. Life is great---God is good!! I stay busy with family, work, and church where I am presently the Lay Leader. My husband built an apartment inside our metal garage building---fully self contained one bedroom, bath, kitchen/living area---for our kids and grandkids when they come to visit. We also rent it out for weekend fishermen or plant outage workers. Down here in Texas, Ya'll, we call it Barn-A-Minium. I have traveled a lot, most recently we came back from 18 days of land and cruise tour in Alaska with friends from church. I had an opportunity to go back to my homeland...Expand for more
