Luz's Story
Since 1979: After HS, attended Colegio de Mayaguez,(Secretarial Sciences), dropped out to go to Instituto de Banca en Mayaguez, to finish earlier! (wise choice, right??) Well, remember, we were young and stupid at that time! Finished Secretarial studies & moved to New York by 1985 where I worked, got married & also divorced. Worked there as Secretary and Sr. Adminitrative Assistant for many years. Came to PR (I visited almost every year) for 2 months to be with my family during my father's illness in Sept. 1997. After his passing, went back to NY, returned to marry an old flame! Second marriage for both of us, at the age of 37.
Moved to Florida in 2001, where he was transfered for his last tour of duty. We planned to stay for good after his retirement. In 2004, we changed our minds, sold the house in FL, and moved back to PR. I went back to college to complete my "UPR Degree"! No rush, since I was doing it just for me ; ) A very different experience, since now I am "wiser...Expand for more
and older" as my years! My classmates: 18 - 22 years old, one the daughter and another one the daughter-in-law of former classmates from 1979!
During the years, I have maintained contact with a few of my friends. And others, we have bumped into each other lives, one way or another. Can't believe it has been more than 30 years since HS. Some of our gray hair and wrinkles shows only how wiser we have become! : )
Update: On a devastating day that became what I realized now a blessed day for me, on December 6, 2009 I became a born-again Christian, leaving all my New Age, sort of spirituality and other beliefs behind. It has not been easy since then I've been thru many trials and tribulations, but the difference now is that God is in my life for real, and I would not have it any other way! A couple of years ago, decided to go back to Florida and now we spend our time between FL and PR.
Very happy to have bumped into a lot of my old classmates lately!!.God bless you all!
