Life Surely you remember the little Southern girl who came to Romulus only in our senior year. I was married to a soldier at 16. Since he was stationed there at the Air National Guard Base with the Nike Missle Defense System, I enrolled at Romulus to complete my senior year. That was so long ago, I can't remember a lot. I do know you accepted me and helped me adjust to being so far from home with no family support. I was a member of the National Honor Society and worked in the library. My last name was and is Best (we'll soon be married 50 years, oh lord!), but I had to use my maiden name of Copes while attending high school there. My diploma lists me as Lynda Copes Best (at my request). At present, I am a retired high school teacher of art, English, and Business Education.
