Lynda's Story

After graduating from high school, I went to Northeastern University, where I met my husband Russell Protentis in 1973. I studied Speech Pathology and Audiology, giving me a BS in teaching the deaf and hearing impaired..graduated from NU in 1977.Taught at Boston School for the Deaf in Randolf, MA for 1 year and Landing another teaching position at Perkins School for the Blind, Waltham, MA. I taught visually and hearing impaired brain damaged adolesents. During this time, I went to Boston College to recieve a degreein Deaf-Bind Multipihandicapped Children. I got married to Russ in 1979 and in 1982 had my first child Nicholas (30), then came Lauren 27 (1985), Alecia 23 (1988),Leah 19 (1993) and finally ...Expand for more
Thomas 17 (1995). During all the passing years I have raised 5 wonderful children...lawyer, state dept in Wasington D.C., Hotel business management, finishing freshman year in college and Junior in High School. I have been truely blessed..it has not been allwin e and roses..we have experienced our shared of ups and downs but we survied. My husband retired 2 yeas ago from a SpecialAgent with the Federal Government (ICE), and has started a import seafood business..doing well considering the present economy. It is difficult tobelieve 40 years have passed sinced High School..but I am loking forward to our reunion...we need to spread the word recieved a partial masters degree
