Lyndon's Story
After high school I attended CSU, graduated 1979 with BS in physics; wasted a lot of time playing tennis with bart and sam chinnicci. Then onto Lockheed in silicon valley for two years before grad school at CU. PhD in physics 1986; spent a lot of time rock climbing, a prerequisite to live in Boulder, and back country skiing and mountaineering. s working did some cool climbs in the peak district in England and also climbed the Matterhorn and Mt. Blanc.
After Italy I returned to Boulder to work in my old lab at NIST. Spent 8 years as a contractor, then retired for a few years to Grand Lake, where I honed my skate skiing skills. A prof in Wisconsin got me out of retirement to set up my old lab equipment there. spent 15 years teaching and researching until 2020, when I retired again..
