pets:
cat (1 yr. old) Cinnamon (who has a double personality. she is either sweet and lovable or a mental case!). But we love her.
bunny (4 yrs. old) Tootsie Roll
pets: cat (Pepper), bunny (Tootsie Roll), teddy bear hampster (Cheerio)
I lost my poor kitty, Pepper. She just peacefully laid down and left me one day. Then adopted a kitty from the animal shelter. We named her Cinnamon, in the family tradition of naming our pets after food products. (And in particular, our cats after spices). Our first week with her, she was spayed in accordance with the animal shelters rules, then came down with...Expand for more
a nasty upper respiratory infection (which she no doubt picked up at the shelter). We had to nurse her back from death's door, visiting the vets pretty much every day.
When she finally started to rebound to health, our poor bunny got sick and we headed back to the vets again. Just as he started to feel a bit better, whilst cleaning the litter boxes, I noticed Cheerio the hamster, was all wobbly. He was 3 years old (they live 2 to 3 years). And naturally of course, he died. I held him and whispered sweet words to him. And to top it off, my daughter comes home from college sick. And she gets diagnosted with Mono the day after the hamster dies. This was all in one week.
Not sure why I wrote all this. Like anyone reads it!
