Lynette's Story
To the class of 1981:
Most of you won't remember me because I left school at the beginning of our JR year. Even thought I had my GED within a week I'm still embaressed to admit this. But most of you I grew up with and some of you I met once we all started at Anniston High. But I would like to find and reconnect with some of you that I remember as good friends and hope you remember me.
So.....
I hope old friends remember me as being friendly, funny, alittle smart & a sweet person.
I always wanted to be a wife & mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
I usually blow off steam by DEEP cleaning my house from top to bottom or working in the yard. And my favorite way to relax is a wine cooler in my hand, sitting in the swing and enjoying my pond and waterfall that I built.
The wildest thing I ever did in school ( which is nothing to some folks, but I was a chicken to disobey rules at that time) was to skip school one day with some friends. Lisa Lloyd, Dana Lloyd,Tina Rowan (I think), Kim Brown,...Expand for more
Renee Lefoy and myself. I was so excited and scared. We just rode around, and I think we stopped at Lisa's work for something. But I remember stopping at Hardee's on Quintard and some other students saw us. I think we were all scared then.
Anyway, the next day at school in homeroom they were all called to the office except me because the students that narked on us didn't know who I was.
My hero would have to be my Grandmother Louise Hurst. To know her life story and the trials she's been through in her 92 years and still have the faith that she has is trully amazing. She's strong, independent, stubborn, loving, caring, beautiful and a Godly woman. I could only hope to be half of those things but she inspires me to be it all.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Bill Orr, because he was such a good friend and made me laugh. He got me through Ms Boyd's class by passing funny notes to me. .
My obsessions would have to be shopping and BLING!
My biggest surprise is where I've been and how I got here and still be able to live, laugh & love.
