Lynley's Story

Life Hello to all my friends! God has been good to me. In 1990, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara (with 40 other SHS '86 classmates!). I studied Law, Business, Economics, and Accounting - whew! I graduated with a degree in Law. Needless to say, UCSB was definitely a reward for all the hours of study I put in in high school. In 1995, after much success in sales, I bought my first home. As a do-it-yourself-er, I have made many improvements. It just took a little blood, sweat, and tears! All in all, it has been great being a homeowner, especially here in Silicon Valley! In 1998, I married a man better than any dream. His name is James. Along with my hubsand, came his three awesome children. I couldn't be happier with my new family. Well, maybe... 2 more kids are on their way! We need a bigger home - yikes! In 1998, I also left the corporate world for the real estate world. My first volunteer job was at in the OB/GYN/Nursery at LG Comm. Hospital. In 2000, I joined P.E.O., Junior League and YWCA. Through the YW, I am a Rape Crisis Counselor (something tremendously unpleasant I experienced in the first month at UCSB) and a Mentor/Tutor at a not-so-great high school in SJ. I really enjoy helping those less fortunate than me. Recently, I discovered the Bible, God, the prophets, the Jews, and Jesus Christ. Incredible! I have graduated from the RCIA program at St. Mary's, was confirmed Holy Saturday, and am still reading the Bible! I have also discovered the Arts. For those of you who are artistically inclined, whether through singing, acting, music, or dance...I envy you! I am working on those skills, however. That's all for now. Wishing you well! Love Lynley
