Lynn's Story

Life I graduated college in 2009. It was my second go around in college. First from Phillips Jr College of Business, and now from Cleveland State Community College. I really feel good about my time spent in college this go around. I really did well and got to know many of the students and instructors. I was known as a non-traditional student because of my age. It was really surprising to see the amount of non-traditional students attending college. With the economy, more and more people are going back to school to improve their chances of becoming employable. Now all I have to do is find a job.... My oldest grandson, Brandon is attending Bethune Cookman University, in Daytona, on a football scholarship. If you look at my pictures that are posted, you can see why he is a football player.(One more year to go until he graduates.) He wants to be a PE teacher. He is really great with little kids, he will make an excellent teacher. My oldest grand-daughter, Ashley decided not to finish college and got married instead. (Just found out that she is looking into going back to college, Woo Hoo!) She and her hubby were blessed with a baby girl in June. Her name is Tristen Nichole.(Tristen was born on 6/25,she weighed in at 7lbs 3ozs and was 19 1/2".) That makes me a great-gramma. My son, Michael and his wife Sara have a new addition to their family as well. Michael has my youngest grandchildren. Brittnye is 11, Bailey is 7, Austin is 5, and Addison Lynn was born on May 7.(She weighed 8lbs 3oz and was 20 inches.) I got to meet her on June 5th. We had a graduation, birthday and new baby celebration cookout at my sister Susan's house in Palm Bay. My oldest daughter, Robin has one daughter, Taylor, she is 17. The middle daughter, Kerry, has the two oldest children. Brandon will be 22 in October and Ashley will be 20 in July. Bethany is next to the youngest, Micheal. She has one son, Dillon Dunn who will be 16 in July. He is going to Eau ...Expand for more
Gallie High School. Robin, Kerry, and Bethany all graduated from Eau Gallie High School. Great to have your kids and grand kids graduate from the same High School that you did... Three generations..... Lois' son Jeff is now living in Scotland. He and his wife Lynn moved to Glasgow in October, 2009. Lynn is from Scotland and missed her family while she was living in the states.(I have pics from the wedding in Scotland) Jeff is planning on going back to medical school there when he can. Lois' youngest son Jason, is attending Film School at UCF in Orlando. He will be graduating this May. You may see one of his films one day(Jason Dyke). He also plays guitar and writes music for a head banger band, Bleeding Incorporated. Check out their website. Both of the boys are doing well. I know they miss their mother, Lois, as much as I miss my sister. This past Christmas was four years since she passed away. Otherwise, my life is doing well. I did get a job working part time at Foamworks, Inc. You can look them up on their web page. I work in the office three days a week. (I kinda like only working part time.) I am still looking for a job in a Doctor's office or hospital, but in the meantime, I am happy where I am. My husband, David retired last year. It makes me jealous since I have to work at least 12 more years before I can retire. Major Bummer!!! I have been blessed though. Our house is paid for, I have a good husband, four great kids and their spouses, and being a grandmother is the absolute best. I am also looking forward to being a great-grandmother. I have yet to see Tristen in person, she and her parents are in New Jersey. I do get to see her grow up in pictures though. Thank the Lord for our technology. I hope that all of you are doing well and that the Lord has also blessed you and your families. The Lord didn't say that life would be easy, but it is sure worth the effort. God's Blessings to you all, Lynn Aho Brown
