Lynn's Story
Life
After graduating from SHS, I attended Butler University and earned my bachelors in journalism and English. My professional career has essentially been in the nonprofit sector (about the only stint in the corporate world I've had was at Eli Lilly right after college graduation). Nonprofits I have worked for include three different offices of the American Heart Association (Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, and Knoxville, TN). I also served the United Way of Blount County (Maryville, TN) as its executive director for 2 years. from 1989 through July of this year, I was executive director for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. I am now the Chief Development Officer for the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia. I hope to get back for our next class reunion this coming summer (can you believe it's been 40 years since we were high school seniors?)and I look forward to reconnecting with as many classmates as I can...hope to see you there!
By the length of my bio, you can see that the focus of my life thus far seems to have been on my work...no wonder I'm so tired! However, I do try to spend as much time as possible in the lovely North Georgia mountains.
