Lynn's Story

Life I went directly to UT-Knoxville following graduation, married Reed Holmes in l972, and graduated with a degree in Special Ed in l974.We moved to Austin, TX in l976 where I taught school while Reed attended graduate school. Our first daughter Erin was born in l980. We moved to San Antonio in l981 and stayed there until 2003. Carly was born in l984 and Kathryn was born in l993. When Kathryn was two years old, Reed became ill with a brain tumor and died 3 months later in October 1996. While in San Antonio I received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration and became a school administrator. I also taugh...Expand for more
t childbirth classes for several years. I met my blessing-of-a-husband Dave, married him in l999, and retired from the "school business". He has one son, Deron, 30. We moved to our lake property on Lake LBJ in Burnet (65 miles west of Austin) and built a great house that we've been living in since November. Dave retired in September at 56 and we are enjoying this new lifestyle even more than we'd ever imagined. We enjoy living on the lake and everything associated with that....boating, jetski's, swimming. Our kids are all doing beautifully, thank goodness. We're healthy and happy and thankful for this new chapter.
